Irv SDyder was quite seriously
injured Friday by a kick from a horse.
The blow landed over his heart, knock
ing him senseless and bruising him
severely. Medical attention was se
cured at once and it is thought that
his recovery will be rapid.

The unexpected tipping of a plank
that bad been laid across the sewer
ditch on Washington street near the
Woodman Hall, Friday, threw Mrs.
George Cutler to the ground and
sprained her ankle severely. The
crosswalk had been removed while
the ditch was being finished and the
plank put in its place as a temporary
substitute had not been carefully
placed.

Bollman and H. B. Stout in preparing
the local rifle range on the Coovert
farm westof Dallas, forthe beginning
of rifle practice. The annual rifle
contest Is to be held Tuesday, October
20, and it is probable that the men will
