Dallas is again without a night
watchman. No blame can be attached
to the council for refusing to employ
an officer, as It will be necessary to
cut every possible expense until a
higher tax levy can be made next
year. However, as little street and
crosswalk work will be done by the
city this summer, it would seem like
the council could afford to come to the
rescue by putting the day marshal on
the night shirt. Please think it over,
gentlemen.
