THE POLITICAL ACROBAT. -
BY DEAN COLLINS.
Superior to all politic tricksters,
Straddlers, hoppers, duokers, dodgers,
kicksters,
Jugglers, gymnasts, "peepul's" pedal
llcksters.
That bounce and bound upon the
campaign mat,
We hail great George, whose supple
name elastic,.
Sinuous, sliding, pliable and plastic,
Ia fit for any stunt, however drastic,
In politics, the champion acrobat 1
What feats impossible he dares
endeavor 1
Though we, in sooth, had thought
tnat we snoum never
See one attempt the deed and not die
sever
His members, yet we mark, with-
awed suspense,
That George with ease achieves the
unexpected, -And,
by his acrobatic skill directed,
Contrives to stand serene and quite
colleetea
On both sides of the selfsame civic
fence.
In the arena gallantly cavorting,
His supple, limbs astoundingly con
torting,
He'll urge the Democratic donkey
snorting
About the ring, and Btrive with
eager glee,
While bis wild mount continues, never
halting.
Around the sawdust, circle, swiftly
vaultinK, ,
To land at ouce, with airy summer
saulting,
Astride the broad back of the G. O. P.
With acrobatic ease, he'll bridge the
scnism
Twixt Roosevelt and crassest Bryan-ism.
Nor feel a single pang of rheumatism
Among his twisting ana gymnastic
joints :
He changes form to suit the need he
faces :
Non-partisan, he sues the voter's
v graces;
Republican he seemsln certain places,
A blatant democrat at otner points.
Resplendent George, phenomenally
active.
Changing your form to make it seem
attractive,
Using all means, alluring and dis-
tractive,
The purple 'broidered toga to
acquire
Writhe on, nor check yout airy stunts
astounding
Upon the campaign mat, resilient,
bounding.
Until the yawning voter you are
Hounding
Gives you the final signal to retire.

TUNITIES WISE TALKS BY U. S. LOUQHARYS'
OFFICE BOY
Good morning, everybody! Look
what's Impersonating an Easter card,
also the awakening of Spring, the ar
rival of broilers and other good things.
Don't it make you feel good to see old
winter on the operating table and old
Sol peeping out from behind the
clouds saylncr, "Come on out; the
fishing's fine." I tell you winter has
its good points, but I like to see Easter
come, for Easter is the Christmas of
Spring, when the bells ring for sul
phur and molasses and Opportunity
begins to knock at your door again.
That's about all that knocks in the
spring for most everything and every
body wants to boost. It's in the air.
One opportunity to help boost yourself
and boost my boss, is at your door. I
want everybody that loves a kid to
help me earn my salary this year.
Keep me busy. We can deliver. Put
me to the proof.
