F. Long has been shipping input from Dallas, to supply the demand in that town and in Black Bock. The two-year-old son of Feter Frie sen, of Salt Creek, was painfully scalded, Tuesday, by falling back ward into a bowl of hot water. While painful, his injuries are not consid ered serious. Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Miles, of Los Angeles, came last week to visit the family of F. S. Eamsey, and are occu pying Mr. Bamsey's house, awaiting the arrival of himself and family from their outing at Netarts Bay. TTarrv H. Belt has been in Dallas during the teachers' examinations, visiting friends and looking after business interests. Mr. Belt has been recently appointed county school superintendent of Yamhill county, which position he will fill with honor and credit. Forty applicants for teacher's cer tificates are taking the examinations at the court house this week, nineteen trying for state papers and twenty-one for county papers. The dates for the Oregon State Fair this year are September 16-21, a week later than last year. The time has been changed in order to accommodate the thousands of people who will be In the hop fields before this time, and who will want to take in the greatest fair in the history of the Northwest.
