Life.
The poet's exclamation : "O Life! I
feel thee bounding in my veins," is a
joyous one. Persons that can rarely
or never make it, in honesty to them
selves, are among the most un

Bill Chambers Dead.
W. N. (Bill) Chambers died in Port
land on Friday. Ho had long been in
the employ of the custom house as an
inspector, or guard. For many years
Bill Chambers was a Salem local
character, running a cab here when
cabs were more in use than they have
been since street railway lines have
penetrated the remotest sections.
