Quinn, 33, of Dal- las on Southeast Miller Avenue on Monday on charges of felony leeing or attempting to elude police, misdemeanor leeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving , sec- ond-degree criminal mischief and felony failure to appear. Dallas Fire & EMS honors volunteers Itemizer-Observer staf report DALLAS — Dallas Fire & EMS Deputy Chief Greg Riemer was named “officer of the year” and firefighter Richard Alarid was given “firefighter of the year” hon- ors during the annual Sweet- hearts Banquet on Feb. 13. Riemer also was recog- nized for 35 years of service to the department. Dallas Fire’s “rookie of the year” award went to Andy Wallace, and paramedic Lisa Baubock was named “EMT of the year.” The Bollman Family — Michael, Karen, Grant, Mitchell and Braden — was given the excellence in serv- ice award. During 2015, the depart- ment responded to 1,021 in- cidents and EMS responded to 3,287 calls for assistance.
