TAYLOR LACEY K.D. LOGAN
Nov 12, 1999 - July 13, 2015
Taylor Lacey K.D. Logan, 15, of Dal-
las had an unfortunate accident on July
11, 2015. She was pronounced dead on
July 13, at 12:55 p.m. at Doernbecher
Children’s Hospital in the pediatric ICU.
Taylor was born in Salem and had
lived in Dallas since the age of 5. She at-
tended LaCreole Middle School and just
completed 8th grade. She was a very ac-
tive young lady involved in softball, volleyball and basketball.
Taylor enjoyed camping and swimming. During the summer
Taylor lived in the swimming pool and rivers. Everywhere
we went she always wanted to make sure there was a swim-
ming pool.
Survivors include her father, James Logan; mother, Angie
Bishop; sister, Kora Logan, all of Dallas; uncle, Josh Pittman;
aunt, Shonie Pittman; cousins, Max and Alli Pittman, all of
Dallas; grandparents, Troy and Jeanne Bishop of Klamath,
Calif., and Mike and Terry Cook of Grand Ronde.
Taylor was a kind, caring person who would go out of her
way to make people feel included. She had gotten her permit
and completed driver’s education. She had just started to talk
about planning her 16th birthday party.
The cause of death was an accidental drowning. Taylor was
an extremely good swimmer. It was determined that there
was no trauma and that Taylor either attempted to hold her
breath too long or hyperventilated herself and passed out.
Kora and her mother, Angie thought that Taylor was messing
around and doing the dead man’s float. They were able to
get her out of the pool and her mother performed CPR but
this did not save her life.
