Professor Spoon is organizing a class in drill-work with Indian clubs. The class now numbers about forty. Miss Maggie Wilson, of the class ’93 attended chapel exercises T les- day, and visited the different ses don rooms during the day. Mrs. F. L. Russell, of Oakland, was here Wednesday giving instruction to her classes in painting and draw ing. Mrs Law and daughter, attended chapel exerc ses Monday morning; her daughter will enter school soon. The regular first half-year examin ations lor the Senior class will begin in two weeks. The class this year is the largest in tne history of the school. Miss Clare Stafford, of Mohawk; Miss Ernest Whitmore, of Isabella; and Miss Kate Denny, of Coburg; are all teaching very successful schools in their respective places, which speaks well for the Normal. Everything now looks favorable for the appr >priation for this school, as every other school in the state has re ceived aid from the State, which the members of the Legislature ehouid bear in mind in considering the ques tion.
