The Modern Pharmacy, of which Mr. David Griggs is proprietor, is not only a modern pharmacy in name, but is a modern pharmacy indeed, and no business concern in Cottage Grove has enjoyed a more pronounced and decided success as a business venture than this con cern. The business has had such a rapid growth that in only a few months The Modern Pharmacy has reached that point where it is con sidered by the wise ones as the most up-to-date, clean and well- kept stock of drugs in the city. There are good reasons for this, not the least among which is the person ality of the proprietor. Mr. Grigg* is a native Oregoniau and for the three years previous to his comiug to Cottage Grove, he spent in bard study and nctual work in the uni versity of Buffalo, New York, from which institution he graduated in Pharmacy and Chemistry. He start ed in business here by purchasing the stock and fixtures of the Benson Drug Cc. His deft hand and ex perience soon transformed the entire interior until it was at once placed in tbe front rank of business con cerns of the kind in this oity. The Modern Pharmacy makes a specialty of its prescription department and handles a large bulk of such busi ness here. Mr. Griggs ia a young man of splendid executive ability, n good manager, pleasant to do busi ness with and thoroughly under stands his work. No stock of drugs and such articles as are bandied io a place of this kind, more complete and right up-to-now than that o f the Modern Pharmacy, and the steadily increasing customers attest thoroughly to the efficient service ami courteous treatment received by patrons of this concern.
