Aaron Rose, the only son of the old pioneer after whom Roseburg was named, came down from Roseburg Saturday, and on Tuesday was joined by his family. Mr. Rose hus been employed by the O. & 8. Geo. ¿ham brook, a wealthy pioneer citizen of Douglas county, died sud denly at his home at Umpqua Ferry last Sunday, aged 75 years. He was born at Cambridge, England, iu 1828, enme to Oregon in 1847 and located in 1852 at the place where he died. In 1855 lie married Lucretia Ridenour, and 12 children were born of this union, the eldest being County Clerk Dave Hhambrook of Roseburg. IN M E R C !
