Mr. J. Adams Puffer, director of
the Beacon Vocational Bureau of
Boston, who is noted as an expert
on problems concerning the grow­
ing bov, has been secured for the
faculty of the summer session of
the Oregon Agricultural College
this year.
During the first three weeks of
the session, which continues from
June IS to July 2<>, Mr. Puffer will
deliver a series of lectures on boy
problems and the treatment of de­
linquents, and will conduct con­
ferences on similar topics. As he
has a wide experience in this field,
having acted as vocational ooun
sellor for. boys in an industrial
school and studied the subject
while a probation
officer
he
will Ire able to give the teachers
material help in the guidance of
the boys and girls under their
charge. As has visited the lead­
ing industrial schools o f the United
States and Knglaml, and has con­
ducted a summer camp for boys,
addition to teaching experience in
country schools,
high schools,
and reformatories. He has lectur­
ed in many o f the large universities
and colleges of the country, as
well as at normals, chautauquas
and conventions.
