McCLALLEN INDICTED AT ROSEBURG Roseburg, May 17.— A fter a de liberation of two days, during which tim e over 50 witnesses were exam ined, the grand jury returned an indictm ent in the circuit court at 5 o ’clock this afternoon ch a rg ing Roy McClallen with the crim e of m urder in the second degree. McClallen, it will be remembered, shot and killed B. A. M ahan, a former Roseburg plum ber, late in the evening of M onday, M arch 13, McClallen was arrested following the shooting, and two days later was arraigned in the justice court and held to appear before the grand jury under bouds in the sum of $7,500. T he peualtv for second degree m urder is life in the state peniteutiary. M cClallen will be represented by A ttorney W. VV. Cardwell, while District A ttorney George M.
