Editor Cottage drove l.eader:— While it is no unusual thing for taxpayers to complain of high taxes at this time of the year, their complaints are ofteu-times with out grounds or if well founded they attribute the cause to the wrong source. 1 am told there is considerable murmuring and expressions of dis satisfaction iu your thriving little city and that your humble servant, the Assessor, is receiving a certain share of blame from the complaiu- ants and 1 offer you some facts and figures concerning the taxes of your locality.
