T his com pany gave their concert here under the a u spices of the High school, a per cent of the receipts going into the H igh scbooj piano fupd. A large audience greeted the com pany and it w as the best thing of its nature that has been given here for a long tim e. livery member of the com pany is an artist it) the truest fieuse of the word- Especially m eritor ious was the work of Thom as V al entine I'urcell on the violin and m andolin, and the singing of Miss Leeta Corder, soprano. She has a w onderful voice and in her solo Saturday evening she completely captivated the audience. A nna Pearl W eatherington’s readings were very realistic and were a prominent feature of the entertain ment. She also sang first alto in the quartet to advantage. I.ovie Zetidt Purcell, second alto, has a very deep voice, and appeared to advantage in the quartet, also in a solo. Miss Cecil O sik, second so prano, is very proficient on the m andolin and rendered valuable service in the quartet. Astray Noliqe. The Leader is Booming.
