CHANGE IN LEADER MANAGEMENT.
With this issue of the Leader
I). J. DuBruille severs his business
relations with the paper, having
transferred his stock in the amount
of a one-half interest in the paper
and plant to his associate, W . C.
Conner, who again becomes owner
and sole manager of the paper and
business connected therewith.
Mr. DuBruille is not fully de­
cided on his future movements,
but he will probably engage in
some other occupation iu this city.
The business and social relations
existing between the writer and
Mr. DuBruille during our two
years management of the Leader
h ave been most agreeable and it is
with a feeling of deep regret that
fate has decreed the severance of
these pleasant, mutual ties. The
writer has found Mr. DuBruille to
be a practical all-round newspaper
man, a painstaking business man­
ager, a most companionable asso­
ciate aud a gentleman in every
sense o f the word.
The change will effect in nowise
the principles and policies o f the
Leader. As in the past it will be
fearless and outspoken upon all
issues effecting the wellfare o f the
citizens of Cottage Grove, and the
public generally. It will be no

secret as to where the Leader

cal, state and natioual -questions
However, while outspoken in op

the Leader will be found broad and
liberal, at all times according to

at variance with our own.
The writer has grown up from
boyhood in this community, is fa­
miliar with its needs and require
ments, and has been connected
with this paper a greater portion
of the time since its establishment
21 years ago. All o f our interests
are here, home aud business, hence
it is natural to suppose that the
Leader will be found at all times
true to the interests o f Cottage
Grove aud the vast rich territory
