We need them. would sound the death knell to the division of any of O regon’s m am moth counties and would therefore be 110:1 progressive legislation W ith the opposition th a t in v aria bly develops in the old, selfish county seat towns against county division and the prejudice created in the old counties by the county seat patters against such measures, it would be practically impossible to get a 25 per cent favorable vote outside of the territory proposed to be created into a new county. T his bill should fail as it is a direct blow against a greater Oregon.
