A fire alarm was turned in Sun
day afternoon when smoke was
seen issuing from the building on
the corner of M ain and Fifth
street receutly vacated by L incoln's
m eat m ark et and w hich only re
cently was purchased by Messrs.

seem* to have originated from a
llue in tile partition between the
m eat m ark et building and the
shoe-shop adjoining and was diffi
cult to reach by the fire laddies
who were on hand prom ptly and
had two stream s playing on the
flames, the fire being extinguished
before m uch dam age was done.

for the past few days by a fellow
