This is his new nursery’s first year's output, but the trees, which are only yearlings are very vigorous and show a wonderful growth of roots, indicating that the soil on which this local nursery is planted is ideal for the produc tion o f sturdy shoots and the de- velopment of strong roots, lx>th es sential to the rapid development of an orchard.
