In ev ejy instance those w ho
cam e to participate have expressed
themselves as pleRsed with the city
for its hospitality and the efforts o f
the people here to make the con
ventions a success.

to the Pacific Coast w ill be heavier

this today, said.

is not on ly a big advertisement for

side the sterner subjects like spell
ing, mathematics, and dead lan
guages. The reaction is now visible
especially in New England, which
has always held the general lead in
education
