2A | AUGUST 20, 2020 | COTTAGE GROVE SENTINEL On The Record MISSING MADRID—Police re- ceived information that Bettina Francisca Madrid, 36, of Eu- gene, was last seen Aug. 6, and did not re- turn home overnight to her resi- dence in North Eugene. Her vehicle was located in the Churchill neighborhood. It is unusual for Madrid to be away from home for an extended period of time without being in contact or notifying her family, and they are concerned for her well-being. Family has stated that there have been sightings of her in the Cottage Grove area. She is described as a white female, approximate- ly 5’10”, 145 lbs., with shoul- der-length reddish-brown hair, green eyes and freck- les. If anyone has informa- tion regarding her where- abouts, please call police at 541-682-5111. BRYSON—The search continues for Michael Bryson, 27, last seen on Aug. 5 at 4 a.m. at the road- side Hobo Campground lo- cated off Brice Creek Road just west of Champion Creek Road in South Lane County. Br y s on was re- portedly wearing a white T- s h i r t , b l a c k shorts and rainbow Crocs. He is described as a white male, 6-foot tall, 180 lbs., with blue eyes and brown hair past his ears. Mary was born in Los Angeles, CA on September 10, 1917 to Lynn Joseph Gage and Nellie Jane (Cole) Gage. Mary’s brothers Elnathan and Donald Gage predeceased her. Mary graduated from Garfi eld High School, CA in January 1935. In January 1936, the family moved to Oregon where Mary met her future husband James Rigsby. Jim and Mary were married in July of 1937. Th ey had three children: Larry Rigsby (Betty) of Dorena, OR, David Rigsby of Coos Bay, OR and Virginia McWhorter of Springfi eld, OR, who predeceased Mary in June 2013. Mary worked at several diff erent jobs, retiring from the Emporium Department Store aft er 22 ½ years in Accounts Payable and Receivable. An always busy woman, Mary enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, and volunteering at McKenzie Willamette Hospital. She was also an active member of East Side Baptist Church in Springfi eld, OR Besides her sons, Mary will be lovingly remembered by her two grandsons, Randall McWhorter (Laura) of Hillsboro, OR and Ronald McWhorter (Michelle) of Springfi eld, OR; three great granddaughters, Hope Ragonesi (Nick) of Eugene, OR, Angella McWhoter of Junction City, OR and Marilena McWhorter of Hillsboro, OR; four great great-grandchildren, Bria, Owen, Brelyn and Ivie and her Nephew Don Gage of Gilory, CA. He was born on June 12, 1941 in San Bernardino, CA to parents Racel and Aline (Collins) Quick. Bob married Ila Johns on June 3, 1960 in Creswell, OR. Bob served in the United States Coast Guard for 8 years. Bob was the proud, longtime owner and operator of Quick and Sons Excavation. He was also a logger, trucker, equipment operator, surveyor, cowboy, rancher, and carpen- ter. Bob enjoyed fi shing, hunt- ing, woodworking, spending time with family and was a member of the Lemati Gang. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Ila Quick, Cre- swell, OR; son Terry Quick and wife Kathie, Sisters, OR; son Tim Quick and wife Judy, Cre- swell, OR; twin sisters Sue and Joanne; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Private Graveside Services were held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Brumbaugh Cemetery. At the family’s request please pay fi nal respects at the gravesite. At the age of 17 in 1964 he left Cottage Grove High School and joined the Navy and received his GED, he left the Navy in 1967. He spent his life in Washington State as a well driller. He loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his brothers Jack Fringer of Cottage Grove, Evan Fringer of Dorena, Jeff Plueard of Spring- field and Doug Plueard of Cot- tage Grove.
