COTTAGE GROVE SENTINEL • JUNE 27, 2018 • 10A DCSO to begin Operation Dry Water for safe boating As part of a nationally co- ordinated eff ort to educate boaters about the dangers of boating while under the in- fl uence of alcohol or drugs, the Douglas County Sheriff ’s Offi ce will be participating in Operation Dry Water, a year- round national campaign fo- cused on raising awareness about boating under the in- fl uence. Use of both legal and ille- gal drugs also impairs judg- ment and reaction time and makes it dangerous to oper- ate a boat. In addition to the year- round campaign, the annual Operation Dry Water height- ened awareness and enforce- ment weekend will take place June 29-July 1. Th is three- day weekend is a national weekend of increased en- forcement of boating under the infl uence laws and recre- ational boater outreach. 15% OFF Any service with coupon Schedule your appointment Today!
