The 1946 film, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” was originally shot in the summer during a tremendous heat wave. If you pay close attention, George Bailey (played by James Stewart) can be seen sweating. However, thanks to Hollywood magic, everything looks cold and snowy. This movie also introduced a new kind of artificial snow that was used for the very first time using a fire-fighting chemical Foamite, mixed with sugar and water to make 6,000 gallons of winter wonderland.
