Cottage Grove residents
seeking services from the local
Planned Parenthood were be-
ing met with a shuttered door.
A previously planned retooling
of the offi ce was responsible
for the closure and now that the
new schedule, staff and list of
services is set, that door is ready
to swing open again.
On June 6, the Cottage Grove
location is expected to open
again with a change in services
that is expected to be announced
early next week.

completed by the end of 2018.
The group noted that it is
currently working on obtaining
several grants from different
organizations as well as gov-
ernmental entities ranging from
$3,000 to $60,000.
A fundraising campaign is
set to be launched this summer
with the group working to raise
the money needed to build the
homes and complete any ren-
ovation work required by the
city should Cottage Village be
approved by the planning de-
partment.
The group did note that a sign
is expected to be placed at the
property shortly reading, "Fu-
ture home of Cottage Village."
