CITY BEAT 6 From the City's Friday Update -day weather forecast North “O” Street water line replacement Last week, the City Utili- ties Crew completed work on the North “O” Street wa- ter line replacement, between West Main Street and Ash Avenue. The Crew replaced 300 feet of six-inch cast iron water line with eight-inch C- 900 PVC pipe. This had been a dead-end line and, with the completion of this project, the water line is now looped. The Crew also added several isola- tion valves. This allows shorter sections of the water line to be shut-off if repairs are needed in the future. The City said the re- placement of this water line will signifi cantly improve both wa- ter quality and fi re fl ow in this general area.
