Must be two pages, on any theme. 2. Pages must be on two separate sheets, so both can be seen. 3. You may have up to four entries. 4. Each entry must have a different theme. SCRAPBOOK GREETING CARDS RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. A greeting card on any subject, decorated with Scrapbooking materials. 2. Cards must be done on Card Stock and Folded. 3. The Front must be decorated. Decorating the inside pages is optional. The back page is plain. 4. You may have up to six entries. 5. Each entry must have a different theme. 6. The card and scrapbook pages are totally different entries so you may have six entries. .DIVISION L- LIVESTOCK Mackenzie Champion, Livestock Superintendent mchamp.champion@gmail.com RULES AND REGULATIONS Some Rules Are New.. Please read carefully 1. All exhibitors must register animals before August 1st. Any entries post marked after August 1st or entered day of will be double the normal entry fee. Exhibitors must bring their livestock to the fairgrounds Thursday from Noon To 5 PM. No entries will be accepted after 6:00 PM Thursday. Please mail to P.O. Box 793 Cottage Grove, OR97424 or email to westernoregonexp@woe- heritagefair.com attention: livestock entries, checks made to W.O.E NO VEHICLES will be permitted in the barn area after animals are registered on Thursday. No Vehicles on Friday & Saturday so make sure your sup- plies and feed are clearly marked and left at the barn on Thursday. 2. All changes in entries must be made with the superin- tendent . The superintendent has the right to refuse any exhibit that does not meet 4-H standards. 3. Animals must have been purchased prior to June 1st. Entry fees for animals are to be paid at the livestock barn when animals are entered but, recommended with entries. Entry fees are $5 per animal exhibited, $10 after August 1st. Showmanship classes are Free. 4. All stock is entered and shown at the risk of the owner. The Fair is not responsible for loss or damage. All rea- sonable vigilance in the care of exhibits will be exer- cised. Exhibitors must attend to their animals during the fair and attend to their removal at the end of the fair. Age limit 18, or 12th grade for premiums. 5. Exhibitors can only show one animal per class except for pairs. For families sharing animals, only one animal may be entered in one youth age group, no sharing project animals or double entering. 6. Exhibitors of livestock must keep the part of quarters occupied by their livestock neat, clean and in a safe con- dition or forfeit $5 before leav-ing the fairgrounds. 4-H Rule, all animal exhibitors are required to stand barn duty. 7. Each exhibitor must register daily by 8:30 AM in the livestock barn to be able to show that day. Animals must be fed and watered before 9 AM, and before leaving at night. 8. Livestock may not be removed before 4:45 PM Sunday unless you have written permission from the barn superintendent before hand. 4-H Rule, exhibitors who remove (without written permission) their exhibits early will not receive premium monies, and may not be allowed to enter the Fair next year. 9. All large animals must be double tied, i.e., halter and neck rope/chain. 10. All (4-H) youth livestock exhibitors MUST show in showmanship, otherwise forfeit premi-ums. 11. Animals entered for exhibit only will be accepted on a space available basis only. Be prepared to supply your own cages for small animals. 12. “For sale” signs must be approved by the barn super- intendent. HERDSMANSHIP CLUB TROPHY AWARD The Herdsmanship contest rewards youth exhibitors for presenting a good exhibit to the public, while demonstrating skills in courtesy, cooperation, knowledge, neatness and proper care of animals. There will be two divisions in herdsmanship; individual and club. KNND FAIR PLAY AWARD A Trophy will be awarded to a youth livestock partici- pant with top sportsmanship qualities. The winner will be selected by a vote of other exhibitors. All awards will be presented at the awards ceremony on Sunday. Other Special Awards maybe presented at this time. JOHN RAADE INDIVIDUAL AWARD Will be awarded to an individual displaying outstanding knowledge and care of their animal while exhibiting in classes throughout the three days of the fair. PREMIUMS Value of ribbons and time of payment will be announced during the fair. Premiums will be given for all Breed Classes. Higher Premiums will be awarded for all Champion and Reserve Champions in all divisions includ-ing Showmanship. SUBDIVISION A—BEEF CATTLE (Warts are undesirable and will be discriminated against.) No bulls may be entered over 1 year of age. Class l -Cows 2 years and older Class 2- Yearling heifers Class 3- Heifer calve birth-6mo. Class 4- Heifers 6-11 months LIVESTOCK SHOWMANSHIP Each livestock and poultry subdivision shall have a showmanship contest. Exhibitors will compete in their own age group. Showman-ship contestants must use their own animal in the showmanship class. Champion show- men in beef, dairy, goat, sheep and swine divisions will compete on Sunday for Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion. BASIS OF AWARDS A. Condition of fleshing animal 25 B. Continuous attention SHOWMANSHIP DIVISIONS Class l—senior division, grades 10-12 Class 2—intermediate division, grades 7-9 Class 3—junior division, grades 4-6 Class 4—novice division, grades 3 and under, or youth under 18 years of age who have never shown an animal before. Class 5—adult division, over 18 years Class 6 - Feeder lamb Class 7 - Overweight, over140 lbs Class 5-Steer calves, birth-6mo. Class 6-Bull calves, under 6mo. Class 7-Bull calves, 6-12mo. Class 8-market, 900 lbs & over Class 9-Feeders, under 900 lbs Class 10-Cow/calf pair Class 11-Showmanship SUBDIVISION B—DAIRY CATTLE Warts are undesirable and will be discriminat-ed against. No bull may be over 1 year of age. Class 1-cow, 2 years and older. Class 2-yearling heifer (not in milk; heifers in milk must enter as 2 year olds in both individual and group classes.) Class 3 - Heifer calves Class 4 - Bull calves Class 5 - Showmanship SUBDIVISION C—SHEEP Classes 1-5-exhibitors limited to 2 entries per class Class l - Ram lambs Class 2 - Ewes 2 years and older Class 3 - Yearling ewe Class 4 - Ewe lambs Class 5 - Market lamb100-140 pounds Class 6 - Feeder lamb Class 7 - Overweight, over 140 lbs Class 8 - Ewe and her lamb Entries in class 8 must have been shown in another class above.
