BOHEMIA NUGGET 2015 Entertainment (continued) Friday Shades of Jazz Friday , July 17 2:30 p.m. BMD welcomes back local vocalist Maeve Dahlen to the Main Stage on Friday at 2:30 p.m. She appears this year as part of Shades of Jazz, a local trio that includes Liam Oniatas on guitar and bass and percus- sionist Jared Alls. They will perform jazz and Americana selections. Rocktopia Friday , July 17 4:30 p.m. BMD welcomes Rocktopia to the Main Stage on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Rocktopia is the sum effort of three friends who've been having fun playing music for the last 25 plus years. They are a band of friends, and their big goal is having a great time and sharing what we do with more and more folks. They have all been play- ing professionally in the NW for more than 30 years. Roger McConnell, guitarist and singer, has played in many NW regional acts, notably Alcyon Massive and Phamous Phaces. Mike Trathen also is an alumni of Phamous Phaces, and is the bass player and singer. Kevin White is a guitar player and sings as well, rounding out some very sweet three-part harmonies. John Troute is the drummer, and has played in some legendary NW bands, such as Flasher and Eastman Band. Together, they are a formidable outfi t, playing everyone's favorite rock songs and some very classy original material. Welcome All to the 56th Annual BMD! Infl uences range from Fleetwood Mac, Queen, The Police and Rush, to Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin, MGMT, Grace Potter, and The Black Keys to name only a few. Their sound is an excit- ing mix of guitar and keyboard driven melo- dies backed by pulse pounding beats. This band fi nds joy in look- ing for creative ways to honor artists by deliver- ing moving renditions of their beloved work, and performing origi- nals penned by front- woman Jamie.
