Drain man arrested on charge of murdering girlfriend
T
he Douglas County Sheriff’s Offi ce
says the boyfriend of a deceased
woman has been arrested on a murder
charge and is lodged at the Douglas Coun-
ty Jail in Roseburg.
The Sheriff’s Offi ce communications
department stated that, at 5:35 a.m. Sat-
urday, it received a call from an employee
at the Drain Shell station indicated that
a male there had requested help for a fe-
male who was bleeding at a residence in
the 400 block of B Avenue in Drain.
At the scene, Sheriff’s deputies and
medics encountered Gregory Solberg,
who reportedly told them that Tonya Ful-
len was in the residence and deceased, a
claim police later confi rmed. The Sher-
iff’s Deputy judged the scene to be suspi-
cious, according to a Saturday Oregonian
article.
Detectives from the Oregon State Po-
lice department and the Douglas County
Medical Examiner were called to the
scene, and the initial indication ruled the
death a homicide.
After an interview with Solberg, he
was reportedly arrested and booked on a
charge of murder and lodged at the Doug-
las County Jail.

sleeping in his vehicle
T
he Lane County Sheriff’s Offi ce
reports that on Monday, June 29 at
3:38 am, it received a report of a gunshot
wound at the Riverview Market on Camp

was reportedly asleep in his vehicle out-
side the market when an unknown person
reached through the open window of his
car and discharged a fi rearm, striking the
victim. He was treated at the hospital and

Video surveillance cameras show the
truck at the market just prior to when the
Sheriff’s Offi ce believes the shooting took
place (time stamp on photos is not accu-
rate). The truck may be a 2001 or 2002
Dodge Dakota ¾ cab and has a missing
tailgate. The Sheriff’s Offi ce is interested
in contacting the driver of the vehicle, as
he/she may be a witness in the shooting.
They are asking anyone with informa-
