(541) 942-0185 123 S. 7th St., Cottage Grove IN MEMORIAM Mary Margaret Trump 1925-2015 Mary Margaret Trump, 89, of Yoncalla, Ore. passed away Jan. 13, 2015. She was born Nov. 10, 1925 in Yoncalla, to Edward and Ma- bel (Allen) Jones. On March 28, 1953 in Vancouver, Wash., she and Clar- ence John Trump were married. Mary was a homemaker and mother. She loved her Chihua- huas, spending time with her family, casinos, travel, embroi- dery, cooking, crossword puz- zles, watching TV and wrestling (WWF and PNW). Survivors include two daugh- ters, Annette McMullin (Rick) and Gail Jones, all of Yoncal- la, three sons, Russell Trump (Mary) and James Trump (Sun- dee), both of Yoncalla, and Creed Trump of Roseburg, two sisters, Juanita Howard (Tom) of Dallas, Ore., and Barbara Evenson (Robert) of Chattaroy, Wash., a brother, James A. Nel- son (Jeanette) of Drain, eight grandchildren and fi ve great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 12, 2007, and by a son-in-law, James C. Jones. A funeral was held Jan. 19 at the Yoncalla Church of Christ with burial at Yoncalla Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove. Marquita O. Walston 1931-2015 Marquita O. Walston, 83, passed away Jan. 2, 2015 at her home in Cottage Grove. She was born Oct. 30, 1931 in Pauls Val- ley, Okla. to Orvil and Delcie Loyd. On June 21, 1947 in Mena, Ark., she and Melvin Walston were married. She will be remembered as a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and also a wonderful servant of God and a great cook. She is survived by her hus- band, Melvin Walston of Cottage Grove, a son, Jimmie Walston and wife, Sharon, of Yoncalla, Ore., four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Delores Quinn and Joelene Fer- rell, a brother, Leon Loyd, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley McNully-Chandler. Arrangements under the care of Taylor’s Family Mortuary, Winston, Ore. James (Jim) George Jones 1938-2015 Jim passed away Jan. 12, 2015. He was born in Gooding, Idaho on Sept. 28, 1938. Jim moved all over Nevada, Nebraska, Idaho and California and fi nally settled in Oregon to live the rest of his life with his wife, Judy. He had many jobs drilling core samples, driving truck and others. His last was at Cottage Grove Weyerhaeuser. His hobbies were garage sales and old cars. He had many friends and was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Judy; two brothers, Gary and Mark; three sisters, Gail, Patty and Kitty; fi ve children, Dondi, Joe, Robin, Jackie and Jayme, six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; many stepchil- dren and their children, and lots of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, a brother, and baby son, James Dean. Services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 337 C St. in Drain, Oregon, on Jan. 24 at 12 p.m. A potluck will follow at Gary and Cindy’s home. Billy Ray Clark 1936-2015 Billy Ray Clark, 78, of Cot- tage Grove passed away Jan. 14, 2015 from leukemia. He was born April 10, 1936 in Mur- phy, N.C. to Leonard and Veanna (Allen) Clark. On Oct. 8, 1977 in Reno, Ne- vada, he and Lorene A. Edwards were married. Ray worked as a plywood grader for Weyerhaeuser for 35 years and as a building contrac- tor. Ray enjoyed hunting, fi sh- ing and scrap-metaling. Survivors include his wife, Lorene A. Clark of Cottage Grove, four daughters, Cyndi Scevers of Cottage Grove, Tammy Clark of Eugene, Tina Clark of Eugene and Michelle M. Lockard (Clayton) of Cot- tage Grove, two sons, Carl R. Clark (Iza) of Portland, Ore. and Michael L. Grable (Eva) of Cottage Grove, seven brothers, Leon Clark (Pom) of Arizona, Von Clark (Carolyn) of Eu- gene, Arnold H. Clark (Susan) of Montana, Don Clark (Shir- ley) of Cottage Grove, Larry E. Clark (Judy) of Eugene, Frank L. Clark (Lenee) of Cottage Grove and Gary K. Clark (Ja- net) of Redmond, a sister, Stella Eller (John) of Washington, ten grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren with one on the way. Visitation was Jan. 19 at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Cha- pel. A funeral was held Jan. 20 at Living Faith Assembly Church, 467 S. 10th St. in Cottage Grove, with burial following at Sears Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Smith-Lund- Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove. Marguerite Scovell 1931-2014 Margue- rite Scovell, 83, former- ly of Cot- tage Grove, p a s s e d away Dec. 28, 2014. She was born June 2, 1931 in Natrona County, Wyo. She was the oldest of eight children. Over the years she worked as a waitress, care provider and a full-time mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with her family and grand- children. She also loved to sing, dance, listen to music and play the piano and accordion She was loved by all and will truly be missed. She is survived by three daughters, Vicki Overman (Bill), Nancy Hylton (Curt) and Becky Hand (Robert), two sisters, Merrile Biles and Carry Ann Starnes, one brother, John Neil Manning, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
