This applies equally well to nearly all baked foods. Try the following recipe according to the new w ay: C R EA M L A Y E R C A K E O ld W a y N ew 1 enp fcuga* /■a cup milk 2 cups flour 2 teaspoons Roj al Baking Powder 3 eggs H cup shortening T teaspoon flavoring W ay 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk 2 cups flour 4 teaspoons Royal Baking Powder 1 egg 2 t blespoons shortening 1 teaspoon flavoring M a k e s 1 L a rge 2 - L a y e r C a k e DIRECTIONS—Cream the sugar and shortening together.then m i« in the egg. After sifting the flour and Royal Baking Powder together tw o or three tunes, add it all to the mixture Gradually add the miik and beat with spoon until you have a smooth pour batter Add tfie flavoring Pour into greased layer cake t ’ ns and bake in a moderately hot oven for t went y minutes.
