Forest rangers on the Umatilla for est are engaged In erecting a 65-foot "fire tower" on the top of Lookout mountain, one of the highest peaks in the forest. Owing to the fact that only the raw material to be found In the forest was available for building the tower, Its construction was a dif ficult task.
