A new organization, The Oregon In
d u stry League, ha9 recently been
form ed in P o rtlan d , the object o f which
is to conduct an educational cam paign
fo r th e extension o f the use o f Oregon-
m ade goods o f all kinds, fo r the en­
couragem ent o f all lines of indu stry in
th is s ta te and fo r th e m oral and fin a n ­
cial backing o f all Oregon in stitutions.

as a leader on th e m ovement fo r the
support of Oregon industries, has been
elected president o f the organization.
T he cam paign w ill be carried on
through publications in th e s ta te , and
th e league may in tim e establish an o f­
ficial publication o f its own. M eetings
of all kinds, where the league can prop
erly send its speakers will be covered
and all large conventions in th e sta te
w ill be atten d ed by its delegates.
T w enty one leading civic and commer­
cial organizations o f th e city and sta te
sent delegates to assist in th e establish
m ent of the new league and it is to
b rin g to its assistance p rac tica lly every
organization of im portance in th e state.

nounced th a t a reservation o f 7.000
square feet has been made fo r Oregon
in th e palaces c * horticulture, agricul­
tu re and food products.
