Creswell Birds Win at Eugene. At the Lane County Poultry Show held at Eugene last week M. M. Lower of Creswell won several prizes on his Barred Plymouth Rocks, the only birds he had on exhibition. He received first prixe on cock bird; first, second and third on cockerel, third and fifth on hen, fourth on pullet and first on pen and special prize for best parti colored bird at the show. There were over 600 birds at the show and Mr. Lower won over strong competition. The judges told him that he had the best Barred Rook cockerel on the coast, and that his bird would have won first at Seattle, Portland and Albany had it been exhibited there. Mr. Lower will ship some of hia birda to the Salem show which will be held negt month. Edmond Padden of Creswell also came home with some o f the blue ribbons. In the Buff Leghorn class he secured Urst and second on cockerel,second and third on hen, first 'and second pullet and first on pen. He also was awarded a silver cup for the best amateur pen in the Mediterranean claaa.
