Nov. 13-14-15. The entertainment of
the afternoon was all suggestive of the
Thanksgiving season. Mrs. Silshy had
originated a turkey contest which
caused much amusement. Mrs. Mackin
won first place after a draw with Mrs.
Alden. The prize was a basket cut
from a pumpkin and filled with bon
bons and fruits. The handle bore a
gorgeous turkey display. The hostess
passed a plate o f turkey, which proved
deceptive and was a unique method of
placing guests for the two-cour: e
Thanksgiving luncheon.
The
first
course consisted o f two kinds o f sand­
wiches, olives and coffee. The second
couse consisted o f pumpkin pie and
coffee.
