Semi-Weekly tyerald TUSDAY, JAN. 17, 1905. Myrtle Point Pointers. Mr. soil Mrs. Chas. Broadbent take their departure this week for Los Angeles, California, where Mr. B. has property interests. They will probably be absent a couple of months, returning in time to start up the creumery at this place in April. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Rogers leave about the 20th, ¡inst., for Portland and points farther North. Mr. Rogers has been connected for the past year with Mr. E. N. Smith in the lumber business, but has severed his connection with Mr. Smith. Ur. and Mrs. Milton Stemmier as listed by Mrs. L. Stemmier en tertained a number of their friends at a mask party on Thursday, Janu. ary 12tb, at their home on 5th street The parlor was beautifully decorated with small masks and when selecting a partner for supper a long white paper which was suspended near the ceiling, was torn at tbe dictation of the hostess, the whole company were deluged w ith confetti, which caused much amusement. A Roberts is the winner of the eleventh prize offered by the California College of Photography in their recent contest for amateur photographer. A sidewalk is being laid from the foot of the hill to the boat landing. This is a much needed improvement and will give strangers a better opinion of the town when they enn walk on a Bidewalk instend of in the mud. Several amendments will be made to the city charter of Myrtle Point this session of the legislature.
