Recorder Bramwell of the La Grandi a.id office has received a letter from h9 general land office stating that zurtioi pain no rights whatever by ipplytn; for entry under the enlarged homestead act, and he Is Instructed to Immediately reject all such appll cations. Until th.9 list of lands are designated by the secretary of the Interior Is made, no entries will be received for any tract larger than lfiO acres. It Is not known how soon such lists may be made. The 320 acre act applies to only non.lrrlgable non-mineral land that contains no merchantable timber. Such an entry cannot be, commuted and at least one-eighth of the land muat be under cultivation continually from the sec ond year, and at least one-fourth from the third year. It wt:i be months and likely years before the list of lands subject to 320 acre entry U completed by the secretary of the interior.
