The event characterized the First Com pany affairs that of being the heBt that can be put on. The decorations were very beau tiful, the color scheme being or ange and black. A special fea ture ot the ornamentation was the stage Bcene nnd setting, designed and prepared by Charles Robert son, the company decoration and entertainment artist. Everyone who attended was cap ably and well served with refresh ments, and the noticeable feature ot this was the absence of confu sion, and the cleanly and efficient way In which the food was served. All who attended declared the event to b'e one ot the brightest In years. The prlzo winners for liavlng the costumes best representing a character and showing the most originality were as follows: Ladles First prize, Mrs. Wing second prize, Miss Rulne; third prize, Miss Stoner. . The guests were greeted at the door by a weird spook, were led by ghostly figures to a grave yard in the basoment whore real gravos marked by loadstones with lurid epitaphs were road by a weird light. Next, lights were turned on and the regular business meeting was conducted by Miss .Mabel Trott, seated on a-sheeted throne embellished with black cats.
