Suuday, March 28. Mr. Roche was a former well known railroad man of this sec tion, and was a brother-lu-law of Mrs. Anna Zlgler. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Drown and baby of Dunamuir, Culif., huve come to Ashland to reside. Mr. Jlrown Is a Southern Pacific fire man and has been exchanged to a run out of Ashland which makes this city his starting point. At a meeting of the teachers, Officers and patrons of the Rusch school district held last Saturday, by resolution, the Elementary Educutlonal Uill, carrying a two mill state tax and the Higher Ed ucational Act providing for an additional millage for the higher educational Institutions of the Htate, were approved. A. S. Reed of Golden, Okla., n brother of M. C. Reed of this city, Mrs. Susie L. Allen and G. H. Yeo, who have been numbered among the sick of Ashland, are recovered sufficiently to be out again. Mrs. C. R. Losher and daughter Bonlta, who have been visiting for the past week with the hit ter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Emery,, left for their home In Portland Monday evening. Among the University of Ore gon students who have been spending their Easter vacation at their homes In Ashland, and who left Monday night for Eugene were Miss Mary Mathes, and Messrs. Harold .Simpson and Meredith Beaver. Mrs. H. C. Randlett, who with her husband has been making her home with her sister, Mis. S. R. Jeter, for the ptst year, has been called to liattlcford, Sask., Can ada, on account of the serious ill ness of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mann. Mrs. I..
