Article I of the constitution of the
state of Oregon shall be and is here
by amended as lollows:
"Section iiil of said article, which;
was proposed by the people by initia-!
live petition and approved by a ma-
jority of votes cast tiiereon at the1
general election held November 3,
1!U4, and by a proclamation of the j
governor, dated December 3, 1914,1
took effect on said date and which:
section reads as follows:
"'The death penalty shall not be ,
inflicted upon any person under the!

" 'All provisions of the constitution !
and laws of Oregon in conflict with!
