The seed was distributed among ap proximately JO flower growers In the Ashland vicinity and Mrs. Jacks has received reports from two others beside herself oa » the splendid growth made by the plants In this climate. Some ex quisite blooms are found at- the U. H. Hosier gardens on AJmond street and Clyde Castello, tnQrch street, also reports having bad splendid success in growing the plants from the seed in 15 months. The Regal or King lily, a stately flower, easily grown eith er from the seed or from the bulb, and a hardy specimen which it is believed map-replace the reg ular Baatar lily because of 'its greater commercial snipe, has a romantic history. A recent publication carries a story by E. H. Wilson who found tbo rich, fragrant lilies ¿rowing in the no-man's land of the .
