And th a t w as not th e w orst of It. H e ran home so scared th a t he didn’t rem em ber running a t all a fte r it was over. Mrs. Possum didn’t know him, but thought he was some terrib le w hite c re a tu re come to carry off her children and slam m ed th e door right in his face. All night Mr. Possum had to sit o u t side, the w hitew ash dripping from his coat, and In the m orning, bright and early, all the little bunnies and Mr. and Mrs. R abbit-as well w ere standing In fro n t of the house looking a t him.
