Mrs. Ilergnian's h in'bonie rooms were decorated with a profusion of roses of all kinds, ferns, ivy, .nnl California popples. The dining room was a bower of ros.-s and ferns, and witli the snowy linen, elegant china and 'ilv. r made one hungry only to see the good things prepared. The elegant double- parlors and library w re decorated with distinctive features whbh w. re particularly at'raettvv. In one corner was the handkerchief bazaar. Here were handkerchiefs of all sizes arid shapes, beautifully hemstitched and embroidered. This was tin- main feature of the enter tainment and the. revenue earning depart ment. In another corner was a confec tionery stand lllleil wllh goodies. All was In charge of young ladles; noted for their beauty, and attlreil n most charm ing costumes. In the evening there was an impromptu dance, music and a gen eral good lime by the young folks, while some of the older ones looked on with en vious eyes. St. Agnes guild always does the right thing.
