Petition from R. W. Tompkins, et. al.. askins for relief for S. I. Sampson, read ordered that he be allowed provisions from D. West, at Westport, not to exceed $S.00 per month. Communication from Board of Super visors of Sonoma county, Cal., asking the County Court, to take similar ac tion In regard to securing prompt con struction of the Nicaragua Canal. On motion the following resolution was unanimously adopted and the clerk in structed to forward certified copy of same to each representative and sen ator of the state of Oregon. Resolved, That the County Court, of the county of Clatsop, for the State of Orepron, respectfully request the Hon orable Oregon Delegation In Congress to press upon (hat august body the ab solute necessity of prompt legislation Which shall secure the construction of the Nicaragua Canal under the control of the Government of the United States, with such conservative conditions as shall secure low tolls for the benefit of our people.
