' To Theater Owners, Managers and Whom it May Concern : This is te certify that 1 havo equipped tho Windsor theater in this city with theLind gren stationary chemical firo engines. After examining all other systems of firo protection, and after repeated tests of tho Lindgron sta tionary chemical firo engino, and upon tho re commendation of tho insuranco under-writ-ors, I havo no hesitation in pronouncing it the cheapest and most poworful, as well as perfect, firo protection for theaters over in vented. In my opinion every theater ard opera house in tho United States, as well as Europe, should bo equipped with theso chem ical fire engines, and thus savo tho loss of life and thousands oi dollars in property. Kespoctfully. (Signed) II. I. GOLDY. Owner Windsor Theater, Chicago, Ills. See What a Practical Fireman Says. Tacoma, Wash,. Sept, 10, 18S9, To Whom it May Concern ; This is to cortify that I, George A. Burbank, witnessed the exhibition of tho Lindgren chemical engino test to-day, and as I havo witnossod a groat many such chemical tests in Now York City, Boston. Mass., and other largo cities in tho East, I hereby stato that it was tho quickest and most satisfactory test, and was also pronounced so by two of our councilmon and all tho citizens present, and I will alsostate that tho timo of applying tho chemical was left entirely to mo and I did not give tho word until tho firo was well started, tor in other test3 1 havo witnessed thoy havo always put tho chemical on tho minuto the firo was started and wator would answer just as well, as thoro was nothing but tho flame started and tho wood not charred, and I lake great pleasure in recommending tho "Lind gren" as far superior to any other '"Chemical" engine on tho market. (Signed) GEORGE A. BURBANK. Secretary Paid Firo Department, Director of the Northwestern Firo Associa tion. Was last yoar Secretary of tho Northwest ern Fireman's Association. There's coming up tho path of Time a gracious epoch when The better motives of tho heart shall rule tho deeds of men; When politicians cease with lies to mend thoir party fence, And office holders heed the wish of tboir constituents; When every one shall have the thought to watch the words they say, When all our deeds and motives shall bo open as the day; With thieving, trickery, deceit and fraud wo shall have done, In that uncertain period when Johnny gets his gun. The salmon fisheries at Shoaiwater bay and Gray's Harbor turned out well this fall. AfGray's Harbor 30, 000 cases were packed and at Shoai water bay 16j000.
