FARillNGDALE, L. I., N. Y, ) ' Sept. 2, 18S5. f I have been troubled for several years with an affection of the nerves which no doctor or no medicine could cure until I tried Bbakdretu's Pills. I would be taken with a vio lent paiu in the middle of my spine, and my arms and legs would witch violently. It acted something like St. Vitus Dance, for I couldn't control my limbs. It would come and go once or twice a month, lasting two or three days at a time. Finally, at the beginning of one of my attacks, I took five Brandiicth's Pills. As soon as they acted freely I found my self almost well. So I continued tak ing them for a month one or two a night. It is now a year since I have had an attack, and I attribute my cure to Brandreth's Pills. Frances "Wood. Johnny Martin, tho office bov of a San Francisco firm, has a great liking tor Dens ana never tires listening to them. It is a positive mania with him. Some weeks aco he sent a tvDe written letter on the letter head ot the firm to a well known bell manu factory in this state, asking the price of bells, particularly large church bells, weighing from 20,000 to 30,000 pounds. In reply he received a cir cular and a price list, and a polite let ter earnestly asking his patronage. He acknowledged its receipt saying that he thought their prices too high and that he could do better in San Francisco. The bell makers at once sent their best salesman to California with instructions to secure tho con tract at any price, and in a few days he walked into the San Francisco honso and courteously asked for Mr. John Martin. No one knew him until the agent showed the letters and then tho bookkeeper said: "that must be our Johnny." It was. He was called in and confessed. The agent was very wroth and demanded the instant dis charge of the lad, but the firm taid "no." They said a boy who conld write such good business letters was tho kind of a boy they wanted, and they promoted him. He says that when he gets rich he is going to build a church and hang in it tho biggest bell that this eastern firm can cast. Two Ways.
