' Low Water. Dato. a. M. p. m. A. M. p. M. PLAIN TRUTHS The blood is the foundation of life, it circulates through every part of the body, and unless it is pure and rich, eood health is impossible. If disease has entered the system the only ure and quick way to drive it out is to purify and enrich the blood. Thess simple facts are -well known, and the highest medical authorities agree that nothing but iron -will restore the blood to its natural condition; and also that all the iron preparations hitherto made blacken the teeth, cause head ache, and are otherwise injurious. - "Brown's Iron Bitters will thor oughly and quickly assimilate with the blood, purifying and strengthen ing it, and thus drive disease from any part of the system, and. it will not blacken the teeth, cause head ache or constipation, and is posi tively not injurious. Saved his Child. 17 N. Euttw St, B: ltimore. Md. Feb. i, 1880. Cents: Upon the recommenda tion of a friend I tried Brown's Iron Bitters ss a tonic and re storative for my daughter, whom I was thoroughly conrinced was -wasting away with Consumption. Having lost three daughters by the terrible disease, under the care of eminent physicians, I was loth to believe that anything could arrest the progress of the disease, but, to xny great surprise, before my daugh ter had taken one bottle of Browh Ikok BrTTXRSj she began to mead snd now is quite restored to former health. A fifth daughter began to show signs of Consumption, and -when the physician was consulted he quickly said "Tonics were r- Sulred ;" and when informed that ie elder sister was taking Erowm's Ikok Bitters, responded "that is a good tonic, take it." Adokau Fkeu-s. Brown's T- n Bitters effectual ly cures Dyspepsia, Indigestion and Weakness, and renders the greatest relief and benefit to persons suffering from such wasting diseases as Con sumption, Kidney Complaints, etc. A t his death, Mr. Phillips, after after making a few trifling be quests, left the remainder of his property, atnountinp; to about 60,000, to the Phillips Academy at Andover and the Phillips Exe ter Academy, one-third to the former and two-thirds to the latter institution. The following illus trates the economy which made possible such srenerositv. In those days the houses were all heated by j wood fires kept burning against! & huge backlog in open fireplaces. In the Phillips house the backlogs were soaked in water for several ! hours before they were placed in j the fireplace. This caused them to burn slowly this was economy, j Imagine the rrini old founder of I "Phillips Kxeler" bringing in aj dripping log for the fire! Tradi- tion further affirms that, when the j household was assembled for even ing prayers and the chapter had been read, the good man always extinguished the light before the long prayer. This was to save the oandie, which could be readity re lighted at the open fire after the prayer was ended. 1?. If. Oitn- ninffhum. SHIPPING NOTICES. THAN SPORT AT ION LINES. !
