The Vindicator is authority for tho report that along the banks of the river between Milwaukie and Oregon City are to be seen, lodged in the drift and among the rocks, thousands of river fish floating with thoir backs downward and exhaling a fearful Btcnch. The cause of this terrible slaughter among the finny innocents is not quite clear, but is caused, so some say, by the blasting for rocks at vari ous points along the shore, large quantities of which are brought down for building purposes in the two cities.
