of France, the city of Marseilles
presented to 'him a plot of ground,
at the time valued at 1,300,000
francs. The emperor built a palace
on the ground at an additional
expense of 1.000,000 francs.

Eugenie of this property, but was
nonsuited. It appealed the case

the original gift, but includes with
it the palace, upon which the
municipality has no shadow of
claim. The present value of this

francs.
