TEMPL AR—Blanche Templar, 72, a resident of Florence, Ore., passed away un- expectedly on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Blanche was born on Oct. 30, 1948, in Water- Blanche town, N.Y., to Robert Charles and Lois (Wood) Templar. She spent her youth in Roch- ester, N.Y., and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1966. Blanche began her life- long career in the medical field at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Florence is where she met the love of her life, Jeffrey Templar. Blanche and Jeffrey were married on Sept. 13, 2008. Her eyes and smile brightened when she spoke of her be- loved husband. Blanche was talented and creative in so many ways. She enjoyed dancing and singing and loved engag- ing in these passions with Jeffrey. She was a creative writer, mostly writing for her own plea- sure. She was an incredible seam- stress who was imaginative with Templar costuming. She was also a lifelong student, engaging in a variety of subjects outside her medi- cal pursuits. She was a gen- erous woman who would lend a helping hand in any way she could. Blanche will always be remembered as a selfless, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charlie Templar. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Jeffrey Templar; her son Everett “Jay” Jenkins; her daughter, Laura Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Sky Jen- kins; grandsons, Everett Jenkins and Dylan Jenkins. Blanche’s life was addition- ally blessed with Jeffrey’s sons, Eric Furstenberg (Megan) and Alex Wanta- nabe (Sarah); and a grand- son, Theo Wantanabe. Blanche is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and so many treasured friends.
