8A | SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2021 | SIUSLAW NEWS Drive on down for Drive-In Radio Bingo Feb. 20 On Saturday, Feb. 20, from noon to 2 p.m., Coast Insur- ance will be hosting the free Drive-In Radio Bingo at the Siuslaw Middle School parking lot, 2525 Oak St. Coast Radio is part- nering with the event and will broadcast the Bingo games on the ra- dio at KCST 106.9 FM. According to orga- nizer Jean Murphey, “Cars will come in the parking lot and we’ll give each player an en- velope that has Bingo cards, pens, informa- tion on food and rules of play.” There are different packets for kids and adults, and all ages are welcome. Each car will get a flag to be able to indicate if they reach bingo on their games. “They will then drive to a numbered parking space and that will be their number to play and order food,” Mur- phey said. Knights of Columbus offer weekly food boxes The Knights of Columbus will once again be distributing Food Boxes at St. Mary’s, Our Lady of the Dunes Catho- lic Church in Florence, 85060 Highway 101 (south of the bridge) every Sat- urday from 10 a.m. to noon, through April. The weekly distribution will begin this Saturday, Feb. 6. The boxes will be available on a first come-first service basis. Due to a limit- ed supply as a result of supply cutbacks, although there will be no questions asked regarding legitimate need, par- ticipants are asked that only those who cannot afford food take advantage of this free service in order to allow those most in-need to receive food boxes.
