Shoes for those in Need inners have been an- nounced in Florence Habitat for Humanity’s first annual Fourth of July Porch Parade. “Thank you to all who participated and our won- derful sponsors,” wrote Hab- itat Executive Director Janell Morgan on Habitat’s Face- book page. “We hope people were able to check out all the fantastic work.” There were 19 total par- ticipants, including both residential homes and busi- nesses. The winner in the business category was New Friends Memory and Residential Care, 3321 Oak St. There were three prizes for the residential category. First place winners were Dorothy Ramos and Rich Caywood on Lillie Circle, followed by Chuck and Stephanie McK- enzie on Myrtle Loop in sec- ond place and Dick Mason on Fawn View in third. “Way to go Dorothy and Rich!” Morgan said. Florence Food Share receives grant from United Way of Lane County Community Response Fund United Way of Lane County a grant from the Community awarded Florence Food Share Response Fund on May 4 in the amount of $2,500. This grant will support COVID-19 related efforts by Florence Food Share, an emergency food pantry serving people in in western Lane County. “We so appreciate the sup- port of United Way of Lane County during this time,” said Colin Morgan, executive di- rector at Florence Food Share. “The Community Response Fund has helped many great Men’s Shoes are of great need at Siuslaw Outreach Services.
